Carol Sundquist Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 27, 2025.
Carol Ann (Pullis) Sundquist, 91, of Novi, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025. Born on July 19, 1933, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of Raymond and Elizabeth (Pendery) Pullis.

While attending the University of Cincinnati, Carol met the love of her life Paul Martin Sundquist, whom she married on June 30, 1956, just two weeks before he left for Army boot camp. Their nearly 69 years together were filled with love, laughter, faith, and devotion to family.

Carol earned a teaching degree and dedicated her career to education, teaching high school business and typing classes for many years. She took great pride in helping students develop essential life skills and was beloved by those she taught. Music was another lifelong passion-she began piano lessons at a young age and later shared her talents as an accompanist for various performances. She also sang in church choirs and remained an active member of her faith community, most recently attending Kirk in the Hills Church in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Above all, Carol was a loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children: Steven Sundquist (Rachel Goodrich), Beverly Ricketson (Greg), Michael Sundquist (Laura), and Jeffrey Sundquist (Lanette); and her grandchildren: Brendan Ricketson, Tyler Ricketson, Caitlin Sundquist, Zachary Sundquist, Jack Sundquist, Adam Sundquist, Benjamin Sundquist, Emma Sundquist, and Luke Sundquist. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Carol was predeceased by her parents and her brother Raymond Pullis Jr.

A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held later this spring at Fox Run Senior Living Community in Novi, Michigan.

Carol's kindness, strength, infectious smile, and enduring love will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Fox Run Resident Care Fund at 41200 Fox Run Road, Novi, MI 48377 (ATTN: Philanthropy).
