Carol Ann Sweet

Carol Ann (Dennis) Sweet of Waltham, Massachusetts, passed away on August 10, 2025 at Newton-Wellesley Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 87.

Carol was born in Waltham MA on December 29, 1937 to the late James A (Jakey) Dennis and Dorothy L. (Coleman) Dennis. She graduated from Waltham High School, class of 1956 and worked for Grover Cronin and later for her brother-in-law Al at Embassy Trophy Co.

Carol and her husband Frank enjoyed many years of Labor Day getaways with their tight group of friends, was involved with Waltham's Southside Reunion Committee and was known for her impeccable home decorating.

Wife of the late Frank C. Sweet, she is survived by her children Dawn J. Ziemba of Waltham, MA, and Frank C. (Bud) Sweet Jr. (Debora) of Sudbury MA, her grandchildren Farrah J. Ziemba and Kyle F. Sweet, her great granddaughter Aliyah S. Carson, her brother Michael L. Dennis of Falmouth, MA, her goddaughter and niece Jacqueline M. Scafidi of Hudson, NH and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is pre-deceased by her sister and brother-in-law Joyce M. Scafidi and Alfred A. Scafidi, her brother and sister-in-law Captain James A. Dennis Jr., United States Navy and Anna Dennis and her brother Richard K. Dennis.

Per Carol's wishes, services and burial will be private.
