Carole Wright Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 6, 2024.
Carole Wright, beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished sister, and adoring grandmother, passed away on May 1, 2024.

Born on February 13, 1948, in Buchanan, GA, Carole was the daughter of Carl and Imogene Brown.

Carole enjoyed many hobbies and was always generous in sharing her talents with others. She was a passionate gardener, created beautiful crocheted and knitted items as gifts for family, and loved to bake. Family always looked forward to her hummingbird cake at Christmas gatherings. Another of her joys was spending time with her cat Jethro Gibbs who brought her endless companionship and comfort.

Carole loved spending time at the beach. Whether it was watching the sunset with loved ones or strolling along the shoreline, she found peace and tranquility in the beauty of nature.

Above all else, Carole loved spending time with her family. Whether it was gathering for holidays, celebrating milestones, or simply sharing stories, she cherished every moment spent in the company of loved ones.

Born with an unwavering commitment to excellence, Carole was recognized as the valedictorian of her high school class, a testament to her dedication to learning and her relentless pursuit of knowledge.

In her professional career, she served faithfully as the Financial Administrative Assistant at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, where her diligence, integrity, and compassion left a mark on all who had the privilege of working with her.

Carole's memory will forever be treasured by her loving family: Ronald, her devoted husband of 55 years; Jon and Amy (Shane), her adoring children who were the light of her life; Cherl & Terri Lee, her beloved sisters who shared in her joys and sorrows; Tim, Madeleine, Matt, Alex & Gillian, her loving grandchildren, along with a host of other relatives and friends whose lives were enriched by her presence.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Joseph Sams School in Fayetteville, Ga.

Though she may no longer walk among us, Carole's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, a guiding light that will continue to inspire and uplift us for generations to come.

It was such a privilege to serve on staff with Carole at Fayetteville First Baptist Church. We enjoyed many great times together, especially telling each other about our grandchildren and children. We both had February birthdays and would always exchange gifts, which I still have and treasure. My thoughts and prayers are with Ronald and the entire family. I will always remember my dear friend, Carole with an e.

I will always remember when Carole invited Cherl (my wife and Carole's middle sister) and me twice to join family members at the house that she had rented on Fort Morgan beach. It was most memorable. Both times it was in November and one time it was warm enough to get in the Gulf and the other time it snowed. Great memories!

Mrs Wright was so kind to me when I went home with Amy when we were at Auburn. I was far from my family and she and Mr Wright always made me feel so welcome and at home. She was so beautiful and elegant and epitomized to me a true southern lady. I have so many fond memories of her. I am so sorry for your loss.

All of my memories of Aunt Carole are my favorite, she was so welcoming when we would visit for the summer. I remember her with a smile on her face at the family get togethers during the holidays. Her sweet spirit will be missed!
