Carolyn Cavanaugh Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2018.
Carolyn Sue Cavanaugh of Cape Coral, FL. passed away on April 5, 2018 at the age of 69. Her husband of 43 years was with her at the time of death. Sue will be deeply missed by her husband Bob, their 2 sons Tony and Erick Cavanaugh of Festus, MO. and their children Mackenzie, Josie, Cameron, Daniella, Tristan, Eryka, Zachary and Cole. Sue's 2 sisters, Shirley J. Davis and Cathy Jo Smith and their children. Bob's family, Jim Cavanaugh, Mike Cavanaugh, Rosemary Deering, Vickie Buckwalter, Kevin Cavanaugh and Cathy Elledge and their families. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Delbert and Thelma Russell of Cahokia, IL.

Sue graduated from Cahokia High School and attended Meramec Jr. College. During her working years Sue was a general manager for Pizza Hut, manager of a 7-11 and office manager/partner for Jani-King of St. Louis. After her retirement she worked in the Aprons Dept. for Publix Supermarket. Sue's hobbies included cooking, craft, painting, doll house building, scrap booking, jewelry making and boating.

Sue grew up in a loving family which gave her a fierce devotion and protection towards her family. Sue was short in stature which belied her true size in courage that gave her the inner strength and persistence to overcome problems no matter the size. Sue's common sense gave her the ability to understand and simplify problems. This was our Sue, a very loving, strong and a good person who will always be loved.

A celebration of Sue's life, for family members only, will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 12:30-3:30 pm at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, MO. Please share your condolences and sign the guest book on line at www.heiligtagfuneralhome.com
