We are sad to announce that Casey Orn, age 22, left us on January 13, 2023. Casey was born on March 29, 2000, and grew up in Ramsey, Minnesota. He attended Legacy Christian Academy, Anoka High School and was currently a Computer Science major at North Dakota State University in Fargo. Casey is survived by his two loving parents, Mike and Lori; his brothers Adam and Alex; his sister Rachel; his grandparents Marilyn and Mel Truhlsen and Wayne and Cindy Orn; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Nancy Orn and Grandfather Roger Linn. Casey spent much of his youth snowboarding, playing hockey, fishing (and eating walleye!), and he loved goofing around with his friends. Casey was a kind, gentle soul who could always put a smile on your face. Everyone who knew Casey loved him. Casey was a coach and enjoyed being a mentor to many young hockey players. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, it was best to listen because his words were often sincere, profound, or hilarious. Additionally, Casey volunteered at the House of Charity in Minneapolis, and also went on a mission trip to Haiti with his mom. We are so very grateful for the 22 years we spent with our beloved Casey. He had a heart for the Lord, and we know for certain that he is now with Jesus in Heaven. A celebration of Casey’s life will be held at Northgate Church, 7295 Sunwood Dr. NW, Ramsey MN, on Saturday January 21, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM. The service will follow at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Hockey Ministries International.
