Cassandra STEVENS Obituary
January 30, 2000 - July 17, 2013
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cassie Stevens announces her passing in California after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 13 years.
Cassie was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 30, 2000, and was most recently living in Reno, NV where she pursued her passions of art and figure skating. She was a positive and vibrant girl who loved life, people, nature, and animals. Her smile was so warm and beautiful that it lit up the world, it lifted all worries, and it spread PURE LOVE. You just couldn't help but smile back when you saw Cassie smile.
Cassie loved bright colors so please honor her by wearing any color other than black to her service.
Cassie will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her parents Sherry and Greg Stevens; brother Justin Stevens all of Reno, NV; grandmother Sona Stevens from Naples, FL/East Greenwich, RI; grandfather Richard Daley (Helena) and family of Edmonton, AB; uncle Mike Stevens (Ashley) and family of Alameda, CA; uncle Richard Daley Jr (Paula) and family of Calgary, AB; aunt Pam Siatti (Vinny) and family of North Kingstown, RI; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by grandparents: Jeanne Daley and E. Donald Stevens.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. at North Pointe Community Church, 14025 - 167 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. Viewing starting at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cassie's name may be made to the: George Mark Children's House, 2121 George Mark Lane, San Leandro, CA 94578. www.georgemark.org.
Two of Cassie's favorite sayings were "Love Life"...and "Live like there's no Tomorrow"…. what a beautiful reminder on how we should live our lives!

I still think so often of Cassie. She remains one of the sweetest, friendliest souls I have ever had the joy of knowing. Though gone, she is not and will not be forgotten. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Sherry, Greg and Justin. Thank you for sharing with me your precious Cassandra.

Sherry, Greg, and Justin. My heart is with you all. I still think of Cassie and her wonderful family almost every day. Remembering her smile and her courage always makes me smile, too.
