Catherine Abraham Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 7, 2025.
Catherine Abraham passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on May 29, 2025 at her home in Davidson, NC. She was a first generation American, born to Italian immigrant parents, the late Guido and Elvira DeMarco, on July 25, 1939 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania.

She was married to Daniel R. Abraham, who preceded her in death in January. They were married on July 11, 1966 and had a full and active life together, filled with travel and adventure. They were blessed with three children: Daniel P. (Claudia) of Seattle, WA; Kristen of Mooresville, NC; and David (Leigh) of Greensboro, NC. She was "Nonna" to her grandchildren Francesca, Weston, Giulia, Matteo, Luke, Carter, and Kendall, who brought her love, pride, and joy. Catherine and Dan made their home in High Point, NC for over 40 years before relocating to the Lake Norman area of Stanley, NC in 2016. They spent their winters in Port Charlotte, Florida where they made many new friends.

Catherine spent most of her career as an executive assistant in the information technology field and later on working for the USPS, but her true talents and missed callings were both her self-taught investing skills and her natural and holistic health knowledge. She and Dan built a second career in real estate investing where Catherine became a wizard at financing and finding residential investment property opportunities.

Catherine's family lovingly remembers her selfless giving, her sharp mind, her strong resolve, and her love for her family and her pets.

Catherine is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Theresa DeMarco Happ.

A visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in High Point, NC on August 22, 2025 at 10:30 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am. A reception will be held afterwards at IHM School in the St. Edward's room.
