CATHERINE MARSKE Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 29, 2024.
Catherine Ruth-Ellen Neely Marske was born to Henry Harrison Neely and Margie Inalene Meadows on September 19, 1955. After a long battle with uncontrollable diabetes and many complications thereof, Cathy went to eternal rest on August 3, 2023.

Cathy was predeceased by her father, mother and oldest sister, Toni J M Powell, and grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Tim A Marske, daughter, Patricia Lynn (Frank) Simmons, Jason Bryan (Tracy) Gaudry, granddaughters: Sierra, Maggie and Emily and grandson Tristan, and great-granddaughters, Madison and Hannah, sisters; Tari, Teni, Dianne, Gayle and brother Marty.

Cathy loved God, family and friends. She was an industrious and hard-working woman and passed that way of life on to her children. Cathy was kind, sweet, compassionate, god-fearing and was one of the most warmhearted people one could know. Cathy had many interests and one of her favorites besides gardening and family was to go "thrifting" or "plundering" with anyone who would join her at the thrift stores.

Cathy was cremated, a family service was held, and her ashes were taken back to Georgia where she found her eternal rest.

Cathy enjoyed coming to Jacksonville and she adored Larry. One of her visits we went to the Ft. Caroline monument. Larry joined her one year and 21 days later!!
