CATHERINE WILLIAMS
83, of Aliquippa passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at Kindred Care in Beaver, PA. Born December 19, 1927, in Doerun, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Mollie Pierce Williams. She was a member of the Tried Stone Missionary Baptist Church, Aliquippa, PA. Catherine was preceded in death by her late husband of 42 years on June 3, 1987, Mr. Frank Lincoln Sessoms, four brothers John, Clyde, Charlie and Felix Williams; and one stepdaughter Addie Sessoms Harvey. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She is survived by one sister, Gladys Williams of Aliquippa, PA, and ten children; Ms. Carolyn Browder of Aliquippa; Dr. Frank (Sandra) Sessoms, Allison Park, PA, Attorney Furmin (Sharon) Sessoms, Chicago, Il; Mrs. Gloria (Levie) Davis, Pittsburgh, PA; Mr. Vincent (Cynthia) Sessoms, Nashville, TN; Mr. Dennis, Norphas (Rita), Dwight, Anthony and Ms. Mary Catherine (Tony Pope) Sessoms, all of Aliquippa, PA; devoted cousin Margaret Dawson, Midland, Pa.; eight cherished grandchildren, Aaron Tucker III, and Brandon Sessoms of Laurel, MD; Anthony Pope, Sonya Polk, Carletta Sligh and Charles Browder, Jr., of Aliquippa, PA; Jackie Williams and Dr. Barron Harvey of Washington, D.C.; devoted friends, Mamie Moye, Laura Bazemore, Carol Henry, Maxine Bell and Mary Alston; devoted nieces and nephews, Richard (Sandra) Oxendine of Philadelphia, PA and Judy Oxendine (Gerald) Kinch of Moon Township, PA; Janice Oxendine and Chauncey Anthony of Aliquippa, PA; longtime family friend Mrs. Cheryl Moye Hogg of Edwardsville, IL; and other nieces, nephews cousins and friends. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. at Tried Stone Baptist Church, 505 Washington Street, where the homegoing service will be conducted Saturday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Troy Sligh, Pastor of Tried Stone, Officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa, PA. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to SHEFFIELD-PITTS FUNERAL HOME of Aliquippa, PA, Antonio Pitts, Funeral Director.
