Cathy Ann Swanson Blackmond, age 60, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 24th, from natural causes at St. Vincents hospital in Erie, Pa. She was born on May 29, 1953, in Erie, Pa., daughter of the late Ralph and Ruth Swanson.

Preceded in death by husband, Charles Franklin Blackmond.

Cathy graduted from Strong Vincent High school and Dental Assitance school. She was a cab driver for many years. She was well-known and beloved by many. She enjoyed the company of others and loved sharing memories and giving advice. She liked spending time in the casinos or playing bingo.

She will be deeply missed by, her husband of 29 years, James Savilla. Two sons both of Erie, Charles Blackmond and his wife Kathleen and their three children, Heather, Bella and Kane, Daniel Blackmond and his wife Crystal and their three children Khira, Daniel and Charlie. She is also survived by her sister Sue Rodgers and brother Ralph Swanson. Also, many nieces and nephews remain. She will also be missed by those who thought of her as the second mom.

Viewing hours at Razanauskas Funeral Home, 701 East Avenue Erie, PA 16503, on Tuesday, January 28 from 2-4 and 7-8:30 p.m., followed by a service at 8:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to get a headstone.
