CECIL S. KING

CECIL ST. CLAIR KING, III (Age 68)  
Of Franklin, VT went to his reward in heaven on May 16, 2015, at the Vermont Respite House in Williston, VT, after a long, valiant battle with cancer.He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil St. Clair King, Jr. and Emily Westall King, and brother, Forrest Coile, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; son, Robert St. Clair Carroll of Quantico, VA; granddaughter, Emily; brother, William H.H. King and wife, Virginia of New Market, VA. Cecil was born July 23, 1946 at Jacksonville, FL Naval Air Station; his father having been a career Naval Officer and a hero of the war in the Pacific (1942 to 1945). After his father retired from the Navy, the family settled in Arlington, VA. Cecil attended Wakefield High School in Arlington and was a 1972 graduate of the University Of Virginia School Of Architecture. Following his college years, joined the U. S. Navy, serving as a Line Officer. After leaving the Navy, he practiced architecture in Tallahassee, FL, and with several firms in the Washington, DC area. He devoted his life to the pro-life rescue movement along the eastern seaboard. This led him to Vermont, eventually to Franklin, where he established King's Taste, a market gardening business. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11 a.m., Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Franklin, VT. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed in Saint Mary's Cemetery.
