Chad Lee Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 4, 2025.
Chad Allan Lee, 60, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025, at Ever Care Nursing Home in Edwardsville, Illinois with his family by his side.

Born on February 3, 1965, in Alton, Illinois, Chad was a man whose life reflected kindness, humor, and quiet strength. He was the beloved brother of Alicia Bodwell and Gina Sutherland. He also held a cherished place in the lives of his nieces and nephews: Stephan Bodwell and his children Hayden and Ellie Bodwell; McKenzi Simon and her children Hank Simon and Jeralene "JJ" Dixon; as well as Taylor and Lydia Simon. Chad was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Rudy Lee.

From a young age, Chad found joy in sports-playing soccer and baseball during his youth-and remained a loyal fan of Cardinals baseball throughout his life. Music brought him comfort and joy; he especially enjoyed bonfires and listening to K-She 95. Chad expressed himself through drawing and found peace in his creativity.

He appreciated life's simple pleasures-especially Romas pizza-and treasured time spent with family. Those who knew him remember his gentle spirit, warm smile, and good-natured humor. His presence brought light to those around him.

Chad was raised in the Catholic faith, which shaped his values of compassion, humility, bravery, and steadfast support for others. His faith offered him strength throughout life's journey.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 16, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Meadowbrooke Assembly of God, 101 E. Roosevelt Dr., Moro, IL.

Chad Allan Lee will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn and continue to inspire kindness in the lives he touched. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Myositis Association (TMA).

Hi my brother friend. You always smiled when I said that. I miss you so much sweetie. I sleep with your watch on and your Cardinal hat by my side as I know those were your most prized possessions. They comfort me. I praise God that He let me have you for as long as He could. You have been and always will be my bestest friend in the world. Im the lucky one who had you on this earth. Your happiness was one of my top priorities. I'm also so thankful I was with you on your journey home to the loving arms of Jesus. I couldn't be more honored to have been your sister. It is I who needed you way more than you needed me bud. Close to my heart you will be forever and ever. Your loving sister Alicia.
