Charlene Sachie Arias, 68, of Gardena, CA, passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. She was predeceased by her father, Henry Oshiro, and brother, Rob, and survived by husband Richard, mother Betty Oshiro, sisters Doreen Watanabe and Kathy (Dwayne) Inouye, step-daughter Carla Cherie (Greg) Saliba, grandchildren Emily (Chris) Mares and Brent Bowles, along with two great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Charlene was born on April 26, 1954 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Betty and Henry Oshiro. She and her family moved to Gardena, CA in 1956 where she grew up, attended school, and graduated from Gardena High School in 1972. Charlene had a talent and love of performing arts, learning hula from and performing with Kanani Kalama's Hula Halau for a number of years. She enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, jazz festivals, wineries, and visiting friends and family. Charlene was loved by everyone she met and embodied the aloha spirit, extending affection and warmth in caring with no obligation in return.

To honor Charlene's memory, her family and friends will host a celebration of life on Sunday, March 26, 2023.
