Charlene M. Carlson

Mrs. Charlene M. (Fafard) Carlson 64, of Millville MA and formerly of Bellingham MA died unexpectedly on Thursday (March 5, 2020) in Jamaica while on vacation with her husband. She was the beloved wife of Eric C. Carlson. Charlene was born in Milford MA, the daughter of the late Donald R. Fafard and the daughter of Lorraine (Hixon) Fafard of Hopedale MA. She was a graduate of Hopedale High School, Class of 1973 and graduated from Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing in Boston MA, Class of 1977. Charlene was first employed as a registered nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and later employed for thirty-three years at the Milford Regional Medical Center. Charlene was very proud to be a graduate of Massachusetts General Hospital School of Nursing. Charlene loved traveling with her husband, Eric. She was an avid reader, a huge lover of wildlife, especially her dogs, namely golden retrievers. Along with her beloved husband of forty years and her mother, Lorraine of Hopedale MA, she is survived by her 3 siblings: Ronald Fafard and his wife Laura of Hopedale MA; Shirley A. Fafard of Hopedale MA and Donna Fafard-Hurley of Bellingham MA; her sister-in-law: Kristin Wood of Millville MA; her brother-in-law: Kurt Carlson of Greenville WI and Laura Fafard of Hopedale MA. She is also survived by her nieces & nephews: Leanna Wood, Katherine Wood, Charlie Carlson, Anders Carlson and Ashley Fafard; also her cousin Lori Fafard and several aunts and uncles. In accordance with her wishes cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held on SATURDAY (March 21st) from 12:30pm to 3pm at the Alicante Restaurant, 84 Uxbridge Road, Rte 16 in Mendon MA. There are no visiting hours.
