Charles Angell Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 29, 2024.
Charles Dale Angell, known affectionately as Charlie, passed away on April 30, 2024, in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, at the age of 71. Born on April 18, 1953, in Alma, Michigan, Charlie led a fulfilling life marked by a distinguished career and diverse interests.

Charlie dedicated many years to his career as a self taught computer programmer and EDI specialist, where he was respected for his meticulous work and innovative approach to complex problems. Beyond his professional life, Charlie had a passion for disassembling old outdated computers, which he refurbished into working machines and generously donated.

Charlie had a love for the outdoors and had a variety of hobbies. He was an avid biker, often exploring new trails. His favorite was riding and camping with his beloved horse Chance on the many trails in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. Charlie had a love for animals and rescued and rehabilitated stray cats that always turned into foster fails and became members of the family.

Cooking was another of Charlie's passions. He delighted in improvising recipes and experimenting with flavors, often sharing his culinary creations with friends and family. His kitchen was a place of gathering, laughter, and experimentation.

Charlie also had a deep appreciation for a variety of live music and festivals. Whether it was a local band or a large festival, he cherished the community and vibrancy of these events, always eager to experience the energy and creativity of live performances.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother Joyce Angell, sister Kay Winchill and brother Bill Angell. He is survived by his partner of 32 years, Mary Venturino and children, Michael Angell, Kristin Angell, Megan Bailey, Todd Angell and Karissa Angell and sister's Cheryl Nickerson, Denise Brock and Lynn Van Cleef.

Charlie's life was a testament to his diverse interests and his ability to enjoy life's simple pleasures. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will take place at his happy place, the Northern Kettle Moraine Horse Riders Camp in the fall.
