Just found out about this today. My Mother was friends with Charlie from before I was born.
The last time I talked to Charlie myself was to congratulate him after Michael won his first Emmy.
I found his high school yearbook picture online at archive.org. Weird how he already knew exactly what he was going to do for a living when he was, what, 18?
Rest in Peace, Charlie.

One of my favorite memories of Charlie....is that he introduced my family to the wonders of Lake Winnipesaukee.. I can still picture Angie and Charlie and Eric and Jeff in their small boat ...cruising the Lake with me, my husband Jim, and our boys Jimmy, Greg and Andy.... the following year, we bought a boat of our own, and continued to have many fun adventures on the Lake! Rest In Peace Charlie...

Dear Angie, Children, Poppy and extended family. I was so sad when Betty told me about Charlie's passing. The last time we saw him he was enjoying the waterfront in Newburyport and was so happy. I have known Charlie for many years and my husband Chip and Charlie were very good friends in their younger years. They went to school together and on many hunting trips. Charlie did my hair for me at his home the morning of my wedding. It was his gift to me. I loved going to the Talk of the Town every Friday where Charlie tried new styles on my hair. He and all the guys working there were so much fun. I left pretty on the outside and happy on the inside. He is/was an awesome, great guy. My heartfelt sympathy for all his family. May his memory be eternal.

Angie, so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. Thinking of him, I can't help but smile. He always welcomed everyone entering the salon with a big smile and a hello. I loved talking to him about hunting and fishing. He had the greatest stories. I hope you and everyone keeps his warm memories close to your hearts.
