Norfolk - Charles E "Chuck" Hunter

Norfolk- Charles Hunter of Norfolk, VA passed away on September 8th, 2016 after complications from bladder cancer. Chuck was born September 27, 1939 in Richmond, VA. He served in the US Navy for 7 years and was stationed aboard the USS Independence. He was an aircraft electrician and retired from the Naval Aviation Depot as an aircraft electrician work-leader after 27 years. Chuck was a devoted husband to his predeceased wife Joan, a step-father and a good friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his stepson, Donald Brausewetter (Lisa), and closest friends, Tommy Everitt (Tracey), Natalie Kuzmanko (Billy) and Suzanne Schott. A funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, Sept. 16, 2016 at the Albert G Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery 5310 Milners Rd. Suffolk, Va.

There is such a sadness in my heart. Chuck has been a dear friend for many years and I have countless memories of him brightening my day. Friends such as him are very rare indeed. I am glad that he now soars with the Angels and he has been released from pain and suffering. May his soul rest in peace.
