At his home with his family by his side on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016, Charles J., age 65, of Crafton. Son of the late William J. and Dorothy Kohnen; beloved husband for 47 years of Norma Jean Kohnen; loving father of Kevin (Karen) Kohnen and the late John Kohnen; dear grandfather of Courtney Lynne and John J. Kohnen, Jordan T. McCarey - Kohnen and Kala and Ronald Rizzo; great- grandfather of Aaden J. and Morgan Rizzo-Deller and Haylee M. Rizzo; brother of J. Paul (Debra) Kohnen, William R. (Patricia) Kohnen and the late Dorthea Mateskovich. Friends received at the HERSHBERGER - STOVER, INC. FUNERAL HOME, 170 Noble Avenue, Crafton, on Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Charles requested casual dress, no suits or ties. Funeral service in Ascension Lutheran Church, 1290 Silver Lane, Robinson Twp., PA 15136 on Thursday at 10 a.m. If desired, memorials may be made to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, 2600 Virginia Avenue NW, Suite 104, Washington, DC 20037 or United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, 8085 Saltsburg Road, Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15239.

Johnny family,
I am saddened to hear of Chuck's passing. We stood together as members of the Patriot Guard Riders. He was such a nice man, it was my honor to meet and get to know him.
He will be greatly missed.
