FLORENCE " A funeral service for Mr. Charles Everette Langston, husband of Marilyn Cooper Langston, will be at 3:00, Sunday afternoon, October 2, 2005, in Cain Funeral Home Chapel. Committal will follow in the Veterans Section at Florence Memorial Gardens with full military honors by United States Air Force. The services will be conducted by Chaplain Charles Grooms.
Mr. Langston, 74, of Florence, died Friday, September 30, 2005, in a local hospital. He was born June 28, 1931, in Florence, to the late Jesse and Edna Greene Langston.
He served 20 years in the United States Air Force, and retired as a Staff Sergeant in 1968. He returned to Florence and worked for Flavo-Rich for 17 years. After that, he was a Security Guard for Wells Fargo. Mr. Langston was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Among his survivors, in addition to his wife, are: son, Tim Langston, of Florence; brother, Aaron Langston, of Dillon; and sister, Naomi Counts, of Augusta, GA.

Sorry to read about your loss. You and your son have been on my mind ever since you left the Breeze way about 3 weeks ago. I did ask prayer for you and your family the following Sunday in Church. I did enjoy the talk that Thursday evening while I was waiting for my father to be dismissed from the hospital. I hope you will be strong during this time. I know the Lord will look after you and your son.
