Just recently found out the sad news when my Christmas ard to them was returned. I had worked for the Magbees as a remodeling contractor on their home several years ago. The Magbee's were very nice people and I was honored theat they allowed me to work for them as I am sure they knew many competant contractors. He really enjoyed his deserved retirement.

Charlie was the consummate Southern gentleman. I will always remember his many kindnesses, including the countless times he and Frances welcomed me into their home, and his great sense of humor. His memory will live on and serve as an example for all of us.

Charlie was a great fellow and a joy to be around. I will miss him greatly. He dearly loved St. Simons and his home there. Each time when he returned he would comment on the great time he had there. I will miss him at our Monday Night Bible Study and treasure the times I drove him home afterward. I will miss not seeing him sitting in his favorite pew at Kingswood.

My sincere condolences to his family.

Charlie Magbee (I always called him "Mr. Magbee" despite his protestations) is one of my favorite people. He and I started working together 36 years ago. I always enjoyed every conversation and learned much in so many ways from him. Recently he brought me a pen that he liked to write with. I carry it with me every day and think of Mr Magbee each time I pull it out.

My uncle was a man of integrity and wit. He was the example for all in the family and took over as someone to imitate and admire after my Dad died. He made me laugh, and always made me feel loved. He was a shining star in my life and he will be greatly missed! Thank you Uncle Charlie for everything.

On behalf of the Ben Gross Family we send our deepest condolences. We will never forget your many kindnesses to our family during trying economic times while we struggled in the home building business. My father thought the world of you.

I will really miss Charlie. I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit with him so much here on St Simons and I really enjoyed eating out with Frances, Charlie and my mom as often as we did. I also had the pleasure of playing many rounds of golf with Charlie at Sea Palms. He and I would ride together in the golf cart and have a truly fun time. My thoughts and sympathies are with you all.
