Dear Palmers, and Don especially,
I am shocked and saddened at Charlie's passing and wish I could help you more. Growing up with the Palmers in Oberlin, visiting the orchard and house on Butternut Ridge, and having a beer at the Tap House are all fond memories for me. Charlie was older than me by three years, yet through church, knowing Don, and following him in sports I found out what a good soul he was. I know that Our Lord has welcomed him home and he is waiting for us all.
God Bless.

I grew up with Charlie in Oberlin, going to Grace Lutheran Church and to school. He and his family were close to ours, his parents great people. I knew especially well as an athlete during his time with Oberlin High. I was a year ahead of him and enjoyed watching him play football, basketball and track. He was a good sort, always upbeat and good to be around.

God created life in the first place, should he not be capable of restoring to life someone who has already lived? Further, since "God, who cannot lie," has promised to do so, can he not be trusted to carry out his word? May the Palmer familly and friends take comfort from these words from our Creator- For just as the pouring rain descends, and the snow, from the heavens and does not return to that place, unless it actually saturates the earth and makes it produce and sprout, and seed is actually given to the sower and bread to the eater, so my word that goes forth from my mouth will prove to be. It will not return to me without results, but it will certainly do that in which I have delighted, and it will have certain success in that for which I have sent it. (Isaiah 55:10, 11)

Robin,
I'm so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. I always looked forward to a trip to the hardware store and a chat with Charlie. He helped me with advice on countless projects over the years so there's a little Charlie all over our house. Doug Wilber

Dear Robin and other members of Charlie s family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I will miss chatting with Charlie at the annual golf outings. While I didn t know him well, he always seemed to enjoy talking about his family, his grand kids, and Robin. I m sure he will be deeply missed. God bless you. Love, Cindy McFarland Wyszynski
