MARENGO -- Charles E. Pearson, 66, exchanged his earthly home for an eternal home at 4:10 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2003, at his residence in Marengo. He was born October 30, 1936, in Marengo, to Charles T. and Edith J. "Poe" Pearson. Mr. Pearson was a retired electrician, the former owner/operator of Pearson Electric and a former employee of Cinergy. He was a member of the Marengo Wesleyan Church. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Moyer) Pearson, whom he married September 1, 1956; two sons and their wives, Doug and Karen Pearson of Marengo and Hal and Taryn Pearson of Palmyra, IN; two daughters and their husbands, Cindy and Rick Gannon of Clinton Township, MI, and Joni and Jeff Polson of Marengo; nine grandchildren; one great-grand-son; and two brothers, Bruce Pearson and Ted Pearson, both of Marengo. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003, at the Marengo Wesleyan Church, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Batman-Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo and from 10 a.m. to service time on Friday at the church. The family has requested that friends who so desire may make memorial contributions to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, P.O. Box 4777, New York, NY 10163 or to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
