Charles Posey Obituary
West Jordan, UT-Our Superman, age 65, lost his battle with Leukemia on January 5, 2015. Born November 18, 1949 in Salt Lake City to Charles and Betty Neilson Posey. Married to Mindee Hirsch Posey.
He liked spending weekends at his cabin fishing, 4-wheeling, boating, snowmobiling and drinking Crown Royal. Charles worked at Smith's Power Products for 40 years as a diesel mechanic. His grandchildren were the love of his life.
Survived by his wife, Mindee; children, Carla (Jay) Posey-Kraynak, Stacy (Christopher) Mahoskey, Chad (Kristie) Posey, Ashley (Andrew) Jensen, Casey (Angelina) Nunley and Mitchell (Brittni) Posey; 16 grandchildren; siblings, Carolyn Mayfield, Denise (Steve) Horton and Kerry (Lynette) Posey. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, David.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday evening, January 9, 2015 from 6-8:00 pm at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan. To share online condolences, please visit www.redwoodmortuary.com.

Dear Posey Family,
It is such a difficult thing to see Charlie leave us so soon. He fought a courage battle which we all had high hopes he would win. It is often said that it is not so much winning the race as it is to having run a good race. Well, Charlie runs with the best of them. We are all better having known Charlie and he will be deeply missed. One can only imagine what a marvelous reunion he is having with those loved ones that went before him. This life is not the end, what great adventures Charlie has before him.

I had the privilege of working with Charles in Radiation Therapy. He was an amazingly strong and brave man. Never did I hear him complain, and he had much reason to do so! He was so gracious and grateful. I will always treasure the special effort he made to walk down to our office, give us a thank you basket and a big hug. Our lives have been richly blessed from knowing Charles. May his family know of the love and prayers that are offered for them at this difficult time, and the memories of his smile and goodness bring peace.

I wasn't around Charlie as much as the rest of the family, and we weren't even blood related............ but he was always "Uncle Charlie" to me.
