Charles J. ‘Benny’ Tiano, Jr. TOWN OF ULSTER - Charles J. “Benny” Tiano, Jr., 73, of Chambers Court died Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at HealthAlliance Hospital, Broadway Campus. Born June 26, 1941 in Kingston, he was the son of the late Charles J. Sr. and Alice (Perry) Tiano. Benny was a graduate of Kingston High School Class of 1959. He was an avid baseball player in various local rookie level leagues. He had been employed as a driver for UPS. Surviving is his wife of 49 years Florence “Flo” (Albright) Tiano, his daughters, Kim Tiano, Linda Tiano and her fiancé Lou Helmbold; his son, Charles Tiano, III and his fiancée Christine Otis; his grandchildren, Christi Schupp Wills, Taylor Fleck, Carynn Heckler, Hanna Helmbold, Alyxsandra Tiano, Cameron Tiano, Madison Tiano, Abbie Tiano and Tatum Tiano; his great- granddaughter, Rylee McDonough. His sister, Linda Tiano also survives. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston. www.jvleahyfh.com The Tiano family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral procession will form Monday 9 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. at Saint Colman Church. Burial in Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
