Charlotte (Char) Margaret Holte, 86, died on July 6, 2025, in New Berlin, Wisconsin. Born September 8, 1938, to John P. (Jack) and Viola H. (Boehm) Holte, in Athens, Wisconsin. Survived by daughters Melody (Andy) Meyer and Rae Fischer; granddaughters Katrina, Diana and Laura Meyer; sisters Jean Ralston, Sharon Holte, Karen Liechty, June Holte and Janet Holte; brother John (Debbie) Holte; and stepmother Jean Springer, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Char was a proud graduate of Alverno College and enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life including whippet racing, bicycling, growing specialty flowers such as iris, orchids and day lilies, and crafts such as sewing and card-making. Please join the family on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Elmbrook Church, 777 S. Barker Rd, Brookfield, WI 53045. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Interment with her parents in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, will take place in a private ceremony. If desired, memorials would be appreciated to Lucky Dog Rescue, Inc.
