Chong Chon Obituary
Chong was a person of deep faith and was an active member of the Columbia Seventh Day Adventist Church. Her kindness, generosity, and strong will were evident in all aspects of her life, especially in her roles as a mother and a friend. She cherished time spent gardening, cooking, and participating in church activities, all of which brought great joy to her life.
Chong is survived by her daughter, Marlene Reese, her sister, Yong Hui Kim, her brothers, Kun Sop Chon and Dong Sop Chon. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her legacy of love and dedication will forever remain.
A service to honor her life was held at Thompson Funeral Homes at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC, on October 23, 2022. Thompson Funeral Homes at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC, assisted the family during this time. Chong's life was a testament to her faith, love, and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life.
