I had just learned of Christie's passing and wanted to send out sincere condolences to Christie's Family & Friends. It was a joy and honor to assist Christie with all of her travel plans, she was always on the go and looking for great adventures. I loved to hear her stories! Christie will be greatly missed but not forgotten!

I adopted Christie as a second mom way back in the mid 80s when the Risty clan moved to Brandon. I will always remember her as a free spirit. She will truely be missed. I will always be a proud member of the "kitchen kid club". Maybe only other members of the kitchen kid club will know what that means...and thats ok, I am glad I got to be a member. Rest in peace my adopted mother. All our love,
Mark, Jodi and Family

When I first met Christie, it was at the Home Show, she stopped by my booth, I asked her, "what are you looking for" she replied in her energized voice, "a man". We laughed and she said, "no really". "My dad had been widowed for about a year and could use some companionship", I said. So she gave me her phone number, which I gave to my dad and the rest is history. Christie became involved in all of our family gatherings and we will miss her dearly. My two youngest kids had just started calling her grandma, which Christie embraced. To Michael and Shelby I'm so sorry for your loss. Time does heal all wounds, it never will replace her smile, hugs and energy and that is why God created memories.

Oh Christie: Thru tears I tell you I loved you! Since meeting you in 2000 our friendship shared many fun times. We shared hugs, parties, dance lessons, & family. I loved the time you joined my family at Easter & we decorated eggs plus joining my family for my 60th bday. We shared gifts, laughter till we burst & tears both happy & sad. You came into my life & forever changed it. Just happy we spoke last week & again laughed at what "air heads" we both are. Never thought it would be our last conversation. Peacefully Rest My Dear Friend
