I became friends with Christina through the Drama and Chorus Booster Club in 2014, and remember my first conversation with her was to thank her. Christina was such a kind and generous person, and she had been giving my daughter a ride home occasionally when I was unable to get her from Drama rehearsals. That's the kind of person she was, and that's how our friendship began. Our friendship grew fast from there and we shared many laughs, tears, and so much fun over the times we spent together and especially the times we volunteered together for Drama. As wonderful and hard working as she was as a Vice President on the DCBC Board, and as a Drama momma to the Drama Club kids, nothing was more important to her in life than her boys. She was such a dedicated mom, and I can only hope that the example she set in her life will forever be imprinted on her sons. I hope that they can draw strength in the memory of her smile and giving ways, her sweet loving heart and kind nature. They were so lucky to have her, even if only for a little while. We all were. Mike, you and the boys will be in our thoughts and prayers, and Christina will be missed dearly.

Christina and I met 25 years ago. We taught at Robbins Nursery; there we learned how to teach and love children with guidance from our beautiful mentor Haroldine Robbins. Christina and I grew to be friends and we raised our kids together. Zachary and my Tyler played together and when Kobie and Madison came along, the fun continued! Easter Egg Hunts, Park visits and birthday parties just to name some of the things we did together. Military life was also something we had in common. We supported each other while Mike and Dave were deployed. Christina made motherhood look so easy, her having 4 to raise and me only 2! She had such patience and ease about her family; I always admired that trait. Christina was a master at Scrapbooking and she taught me so many neat ways to create pages. I loved getting together at her house or mine, while our kids played and we created projects. She and I also were a part of a rubber stamping group. I am going to miss my special loving friend. My fond memories of Christina will remain in my heart forever.

I met Christina five years ago when Kobie and my daughter Mariah became friends. We became fast friends. It was so easy, she was such a genuine, down-to-earth person. Through the years we relied on one another for carpooling, drama volunteering or whatever and eventually both became officers on the drama chorus booster club board together. I watched her follow her passion and get back to teaching at Emmanuel Episcopal day school full-time. She made juggling everything seem effortless. Through it all she made her five boys, the kids and Mike, her priority. They were her world. I will miss her dearly, but am so grateful for the memories we shared.

I always looked forward to come to "Va-Beach" to see my cousin Tistina and her amazing family I love dearly. I hold special memories in my heart of our trips to the beach, the mall, and simply hanging out together at grandma's house. I'm so saddened to hear of her passing, but her laugh and smile will carry on through you boys. I love you so much! Sending prayers and love from GA!

I met Christina when she was my sons daycare teacher at Robbins day care. She reconnected with me on Facebook after my son got his angel wings a few years ago. I remember her as always having a smile on her face and she seemed to love being with the children.
My condolences to the family.

Mrs. Smith was our daughter's first preschool teacher. Our daughter Victoria started at the end of last year, and was immediately embraced by Mrs. Smith. She made what could have been a difficult transition, a joyful experience for our daughter. Our hearts ache for the loss of a beautiful woman. She was the light that made Victoria feel comfortable in a new situation, adored Victoria for her individuality, and was quick to hold our daughter when she was anxious. I knew when I couldn't be there that someone with the love only a mother could provide, surrounded my daughter. She will always be in our hearts.

My precious friend Christina! You will be greatly missed. I will treasure all the times we spent together scrapbooking. Your laugh filled our home. I met Christina at the local scrapbooking store that we worked at in Fairfield Shopping Center. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. May you realize what a special person Christina was to others. She was a blessing.

I met Christina a few years ago when Aiden and my daughter Morgan were in a little gym class together. Once we started talking I knew right away that she was an amazing person. As our kids got older, we kept in touch and still got together every few months. I loved catching up with her and hearing how all her boys were doing. Her love and pride for them shined through every time she talked about them. And every time Aiden, Carter and Kobie joined us at the park it was obvious that all of her wonderful qualities were also present in them. I will always be grateful for the years I knew her and I know there will always be a smile on my face when I think of her.

Margaretta so sorry for your sudden loss. We will keep you and your family in our prayers. If you recall I lost my mother at a very young age and not a day goes by that I don't think of her and her kindness to others. I know she will be dearly missed.

I met Christina when she joined the Kempsville Drama/Chorus Booster Club. She was such a sweet lady with a kind gentle way about her and always willing to help. When she spoke of her boys she lit up. There is no doubt how much she loved them.

I met Christina in the late 70's when we lived near each other in Chesapeake. She had the brightest smile! She loved Duran Duran and Jameson Parker from an old 80's TV show Called Simon and Simon. We played kickball together with all of our neighborhood friends. We lost touch over the years due to moving, but, thank goodness for Facebook! We reconnected a few years ago and I was able to see her wonderful, loving family. I am so very sorry for the loss of this beautiful soul. I pray for her husband and children, parents and sister, and all of her friends and family.

My heart aches for your family. Christina was the sweetest, most loving, giving woman. I was lucky enough to have a special bond with her at Robbins Daycare. The love that my family had for her continued after Robbins Daycare as she was our babysitter for years! The love that her and Mike had was an undeniable true love story. I was fortunate to be part of that love story as one of their Flower Girl's in their wedding. Facebook allowed me to reconnect with her and watch this amazing family grow! It had been years since seeing Christina, but when I got pregnant, she was the FIRST person that came to my mind to contact. Her heart, energy, and love has made a lifelong impact on me. She will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.
With sincere love, Dawn (Joyce) Smith

Our deepest sympathy to Mike, their boys and family. Ourselves and the members at our ILKB studios are so taken back by the loss of Christina. She was like the silent nija that came in, made everyone smile with the sweet gentle face, but man did she go at that bag! We wish you all of God's love and may he wrap this family in love and peace during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us for anything.

Christina was a light to everyone in the Kickboxing studio. I had the pleasure of teaching her many times and she always brought a big smile to my face and everyone else around. She could kick some serious butt in class.
