Christine LeBlanc Obituary

The one thing for absolute certain in Christine LeBlanc's life is that her children, Lauren and John always came first. She loved them dearly and was an active part of their lives as they grew up in town, played sports and various school activities. An active mother in American Youth Football and the P.T.O. at Paton School where she served as president, she was always Lauren and John's biggest cheerleader. And they too, adored their mother and cared for her these last many years as the debilitating effects of a brain tumor and multiple sclerosis took their toll. It is a wonderful bond of love between the three of them that will not ever be broken, Christine always referring to them as "the three muskateers". Christine was born Christmas Eve, December 24, 1967 in Worcester. Raised in Shrewsbury she was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School with the class of 1986 where she played on its tennis team. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Framingham State University in 1990. She worked as an accountant for SELCO and later Brew City on Shrewsbury Street and prior to having to stop working, she loved her work in private care for the elderly. Christine loved the ocean and the beach, in particular Corporation Beach in Dennis where she would soak up the sun and always enjoy a cold Diet Coke and a pack of Twizzlers. Walks with Maxine, her favorite four-legged friend kept her active. She always enjoyed giving back in her free time, and would always say that the greatest joy in life comes from helping others. She was a beloved CCD teacher at Saint Mary's Parish, always wanting students to have fun while learning about faith. She also enjoyed volunteer work for the Special Olympics and the organization held a special place in her heart. She loved the simple things like the beauty of a hydrangeas, sushi from Yama Zakura, Cannoli's from Gerardo's and in her last days, the sip of a cold mocha frappe gave her comfort. No matter what Christine was going through in her life, she always made an effort to help others. Her smile that lit up every room and her unwavering kindness will live on forever through the many people that she touched. Christine died Saturday, August 20, 2022. She was 54. Her family offers sincere gratitude to Christine's medical team, her primary physician, Dr. Deborah Hazen, Neurosurgeon, Dr. Alexandra Golby as well as Thomas Bain and all of his fellow team members at Jewish Healthcare Center for the excellent care extended during Christine's medical care. Christine leaves her children, Lauren M. and John R. LeBlanc, both of Shrewsbury; her father Raymond F. Gouley of Shrewsbury; her mother, Geraldine (Ryan) Bergeron and stepfather, Arthur L. Bergeron of Worcester, her brothers, Raymond F. Gouley III and John G. Gouley, both of Shrewsbury and Jeffrey M. Gouley (Kathleen) of Fairfield, Connecticut; her grandfather, Gerald Ryan (late Yolanda) of Shrewsbury; nieces & nephews and her beloved longtime best-friend, Sheila Lane of Shrewsbury. Family and friends will honor Christine's life by gathering for a calling hour on Friday, August 26th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 630 Cross St, Boylston, MA, followed by her funeral Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston, MA 02215 or www.danafarber.org Arrangements by James & John Heald of The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street, Waltham.

So sorry to hear the news of Chrissy's passing. I have fond memories of our time together growing up on North Street. I had some really fun days with Chrissy and Lisa Pescaro during those crazy middle school years. I remember her infectious laughter and cheery personality. She was a great athlete too!
I just listened to the wonderful radio tribute from WTAG. What a gift she was!
Sending love to her children. Your mother will always be with you...just in a different way now. Use your mother's strength to take care of eachother. Her love will shine on through you.! My condolences to all the Gouley and Leblanc family.

Chris was an amazing woman! She was fun! She always enjoyed the simple things in life - the joyful moments with her children, a good joke and a homemade meal. I will always be grateful for her friendship and her commitment to getting the boys through CCD - those cold winter nights, endless prep work and patient demeanor. She did it all with her beautiful smile. Thank you my dear friend.

So very sorry for your loss. Chris had a good heart and soul, always giving back and never asking for very much in return. My heartfelt sympathies to her loving and supportive children for the loss of their loving, devoted and kind Mom and friend. Chris will live on in our minds and hearts forever. Very Sincerely, Kelley

I went to High School with Christine and was fortunate to work with her side by side for a short time right before her health deteriorated. She was always smiling and went out of her way to do nice things for others no matter how she was feeling and she beamed like the sun when she spoke of her beautiful children! I am thinking of them today a pray that they know how much she loved them.
