Christine Kibler Lee FLORENCE - Mrs. Christine Kibler Lee, 85, of Florence, widow of Robert Colon Lee, died November 6, 2009. Born in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late James T. and Ola Lominick Kibler. She was retired from Peoples Natural Gas Co., Florence, and was a member of College Park Baptist Church where she was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class, a member of the church choir, and taught Sunday school. She was recognized by the community for her gardening and baking talents. She was Valedictorian of her high school class and played basketball and was a cheerleader. She is survived by two daughters; Lynn Woods Cook of Florence and Harriet Woods Ethridge of Mt. Pleasant; a son-in-law, Mike Ethridge of Sullivans Island; a sister, Edith Kibler Kunkle of Pomaria; four grandchildren, Phillip and Cameron Cook, and Anna Margaret and Austin Ethridge; 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, Gail Atkinson and Ann Kibler Caldwell; and nephews, Glenn Kunkle and Don Kunkle. She was predeceased by a brother, Cecil Kibler. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday in St. Philip's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Newberry by the Rev. Terry Amick. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the home of her daughter, Harriet Ethridge in Mt. Pleasant and Tuesday following the service in the church fellowship hall.
