Christine S. Sforza, 74, of Whitehall died Friday, July 18, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital 17th Street. She was born in New York City in the Borough of Manhattan. Daughter of the late Michael J. and Erna Sforza. She is survived by her sister, Carolyn Buono, her brother-in-law, Matthew Buono; her brother, Michael Sforza, her sister-in-law Janet Sforza; her brother, Robert J. Sforza; her brother, Andrew V. Sforza, her sister-in-law, Anna Sforza; 2 nieces (Alexandria Willliams (husband Ryan) and JoAnna Martens), 1 nephew Matthew Buono (fiancé Lauren Garcia), Great Nephew Renzo Williams and many, many close friends, especially, Maryann Krobath & Maureen Hendricks (a/k/a the "Naughty Altos").

She was a graduate of City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts Cum Laude having a double major in Psychology and Early Childhood Education.

She worked for the NYC Department of Education in the Personnel Unit an an Investigator; Division of Human Resources, Classification Unit as Deputy Director; Division of Parent & Community Partnerships Management & Compliance Unit as District Associate/Senior Compliance Monitor. Retiring after 25 years.

She worked for St. Luke's Medical Center, Bethlehem as a Respiratory Therapist and Philippe Perez Elementary School, Brownsville, TX as an elementary school Teacher in an ESL (English as a Second Language) setting.

She also worked for Our Lady Help of Christians School, Staten Island, NY as a middle school Teacher & Language Arts Coordinator. She designed and produced the first school/community newspaper and organized an after-school club for creative arts.

For many years she was a Partner/Co-Owner of a numismatic/philatelic private business. Retailing to customers & clients. She travelled throughout the United States & Europe attending auctions & meetings with collectors regarding the sale & purchase of rare numismtic and metallic art.

She was an avid gardener, loved to travel, a photographer, a creative writer, a sculptor, a painter, played classical guitar and the organ. She was a lover of all music, and sang in the Choral Union at Lehigh University under the direction of Dr. Steven Sametz, Composer, Professor of Music and Director of Lehigh University Choral Arts.

Though Chrissy is no longer with us in person, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We take comfort in the memories we shared, and the love Chrissy poured into the ones she loved. Chrissy would not want anyone to be saddened by her passing but happy in knowing that she has begun her new life in Heaven with God. She was surely greeted with open arms by her loved ones and friends who preceded her. Chrissy's wish would be for each person to live life to its fullest, loving deeply and cherishing one another.

Rest in peace, our precious Christine. You are forever in our hearts.

Carolyn,Michael,Bobby,Andrew my sincere sympathies in the loss of your beautiful sister Chris. She was my best friend and we enjoyed many good times singing and eating . Chris loved you all very much and wanted you to enjoy your life as you love each other. I know she will be watching over all of you from above. Nothing gave her more joy than talking about all the good times she shared with her family . Love Maryann aka (naughty altos).
