Christopher Clark

January 1, 1926 - January 13, 2025

Christopher Clark passed away peacefully at his home in Prince George's County, Maryland, on January 13, 2025, at the age of 99. Born on January 1, 1926, in Langston County, South Carolina, to the late Jim and Mary Starks-Clark, Christopher lived a long and fulfilling life devoted to family, community, and service.

He spent his formative years in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he attended school before relocating to Washington, D.C., at the age of 17. Christopher went on to build a distinguished career as an engineer with the Montgomery County School Board, dedicating 32 years of service to his profession.

On May 22, 1956, Christopher married Hattie May, with whom he shared a loving partnership until her passing. Together, they created a home rooted in love and a commitment to their community. Christopher was known for his unwavering support of families and children in his neighborhood and for his generosity toward those around him.

In his free time, Christopher enjoyed watching football and basketball. A devoted fan of the Washington Redskins (now Commanders) and the Baltimore Orioles, he relished cheering for his favorite teams. He also had a lifelong appreciation for fancy cars, which brought him much joy over the years.

Christopher is survived by his children: Jerry, Cheryl, Virginia, Cynthia, Herbert, Jason, and John; as well as numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will hold his memory dear.

Christopher Clark's life was a shining example of dedication to family and community. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
