Christopher Shawn Egan passed away on December 31, 2023, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, at the age of 62. Chris was born on November 21, 1961, in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Chris was a dedicated and accomplished individual who excelled in his career in the resort property management industry. He rapidly climbed positions, managing various resorts including the Magic Tree Resort in Kissimmee and the Turtle Reef Club in Jensen Beach. For the majority of his career, Chris served as the General Manager for two resorts, the Vistana Beach Club and Sheraton PGA Vacation Resort in Port St. Lucie, Florida. His commitment to his work was evident through his involvement in professional associations and community organizations. During his career, Chris maintained his Florida Community Association Managers (CAM) license and was a member of the South Hutchinson Island Property Managers and President's Council of South Hutchinson Island. For 13 years, he held various positions on the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce such as President, Vice President, Director, Treasurer, and Financial Analyst as well as appointed to member of the St. Lucie County Tourist Development Council. Chris was proud to have assisted with the planning of the Annual Pineapple Festival events.

Outside of work and before his decline in health, Chris had a rich and fulfilling life that included several hobbies and interests. He enjoyed playing the guitar, working on and riding motorcycles, boating, and fishing. Chris was also a fan of the Miami Dolphins and loved listening to a wide variety of music. His weekly poker nights were a cherished pastime as well as spending time with his family, sisters, and friends.

Chris loved his son, Zachary, and took great pride in his son's accomplishments as a bodybuilder. Zachary will cherish the memories of their time together going out on the family boat, Blue Skies, fishing, and traveling to Key Largo.

He leaves behind his son Zachary John Egan, three sisters Sharon Moseman (Charlie & Laurel), Lauri Mills (Ron & Austin), and Leslie Hoplight (Steve); John Maiolo (uncle), Cam Maiolo Heffernan (cousin), and Alan Maiolo (cousin); friends, business associates, and former employees. Chris was preceded in death by his ex-wife Kelly Egan, father Richard John Egan, mother Maxine Lynch Egan, and cousin Melissa Maiolo Betts.

Chris will be remembered for his generous spirit, humor, and quick wit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Chris's life will be held at the Jensen Beach Chamber of Commerce on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
