I met Chris at one of the hardest times in my life . Unfortunately our friendship was cut short by his death. Many will say he wasn't right in the head and others would say he was not so kind at times, but the man i had thr pleasure of calling my friend had a huge heart. He spoke often of his love for his children and how deeply sorry he was for his absence in their lives. He was rough and tough and didn't take no lip , but when it came down to it he was just a big ole teddy bear. My dear friend tho you are gone , I will never forget the many talks and laughs and tears we shared . You and I met on a whim having the same dream for a future that was outrageous to many but we had it all planned out how we wanted things to be . Thank you for the strength you gave me to keep my chin up and my focus on what was in front of me . You never knew what to say but some how it always sounded like you had practiced it before . Thanks for making me try the frog legs and showing the best spot in town to watch the sun set . I spent many evenings there on the call to my children . You were a blessing to me
. Love you bro

I attended HS with Chris and lost track of him after graduation. Around '07 or so I bumped into him at a C-Store somewhere near Alvarado. He was as gregarious as ever and demonstrated his trademark generosity by offering to buy me the hotdog I had in hand. I've always remembered him as a man who would sincerely give you the shirt off his back. We parted ways with him telling me "you know where to find me." I always liked that about Chris. No address, no phone number, if you want to find him all you need do is roll down to Hill Co and the locals will point you in the right direction. There will never be another like him. Go with God, friend.

I LOVED YOU ONCE, I LOVE YOU STILL... There are no words to fully express my sympathy for your loss. My heart is broken. Very special memories will never be forgotten.
