Christopher Robert Luce, 47, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 29, 2013. A long time resident of Reno and born in Los Angeles, California, Chris lived in New York, Spain, and California with his parents Robert and Nancy Luce. A 1985 San Lorenzo Valley High School graduate, Chris went to college in San Diego and graduated from the United States International University. Chris was an active leader in the Reno Relay for Life, supporting cancer research in memory of his oldest daughter.

Chris is survived by his daughter, Kristin Luce and former-wife, Lauren Miller of Reno, NV; and his father, Robert Luce, sister, Diane (Gary) McCormick, and niece, Katherine, of Ben Lomond, CA. Chris was preceded in death by his daughter, Taylor and his mother, Nancy.

A Celebration of Life Open House was held October 6, 2013 at Rancho San Rafael Park, Reno, NV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 691 Sierra Rose Drive, Suite A, Reno, Nevada 89511, www.cancer.org or the Kristin Luce Educational Fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank - Account Number 1394851917. I met Chris when he was 14 years old. He had just moved to CA from NY. Our families had such wonderful times together. I will remember his smile! You will be forever missed. Much Love to Kristin, Laurie, Bob and Diane.
