My beautiful Angel
Marcia
May 1, 2017
I am just now learning about what happened to my friend. Chris and I referred to one another by our middle names. Jordan, and I shared a beautiful and gentle bond. I am deeply saddened, and I am hurt that we lost contact. I just moved, and a letter fell out of my closet from a box. It was a letter that Jordan had written to me. I googled his name, so that I could find him again, and I find this. My heart breaks. He always spoke so highly of his love for his mother. Always. We shared soo many lovely times, drives, music, walks, and secrets together. When we were together, the world disappeared around us, and that was always fun. Jordan was a beautiful person. Fragile and strong. He and I modeled together. I miss him. I believe that somehow, he is still here in spirit, and a prayer away. I love him. I pray for healing and peace to all who knew and loved him.

I just learned about Chris' passing this week. He was a student when I ran the MBA Program at the U.. I'm so heartbroken!! He and I had many bonding converations over our the love of our dogs - he was so happy with Scout! I'm so sorry for your loss - but I hope you take comfort in knowing that he made many of us smile during his journey.

Dear, dear Manning family... Chris' service was beautiful, warm, touching, humorous and melancholy. Thank you for sharing your son with so many; he is greatly missed and will be remembered fondly and often. God bless you all.
With love from our family to yours...

You don't know me--I came across your son's obituary and I was touched. He was genuine and real. I could tell by the life he lived. He always thought of the other guy. I have dealt with depression in my life to the extent that it took over my life for better than 10 years. It is a dark pit to be in and no one will ever understand it unless they go through it. After ten years I was given medication that worked. Something finally worked and the miracle proceeded. I am a mother of eight children and I love them as dearly as I know you loved your son. May you rest in happiness knowing that he is now free from the demons that interfered with his life. May God bless you. Your reunion with Chris is assured.

I am blessed with so many treasured memories of Chris: camp outs; scout camp (a willing achiever); hiking the Presidential mountains along the Appalachian trail in Vermont and in Bar Harbor, Maine -- a true adventurer he; basketball (especially his kindness to those outside of our group); service; friendship; wit; among others. He's a good lad and I miss him. Darryl Neider

Gone far too soon... While we know that you are in a better place, Chris, we are saddened for those left behind, those whose lives you indelibly touched. You will live on in the memories, stories and photos of those who loved and cared about you. "Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle." True story. Rest in peace, Chris... With love for the Manning family from Gordon, Jerrie, Kasey & Christian Smith
