Christopher Rickard

Christopher M. Rickard, 38, of Moore Township, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the loving husband of Sarah E. (Kier) Rickard. They would have celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary in June. Born in Abington, PA, on July 06, 1979, he was a son of Raymond W. Rickard and his wife, Jean, of Ambler, PA, and Anni (Schmitt) Rickard, of Philadelphia. Chris was a graduate of Abington High School, class of 1997. He was member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, and was proud to be employed as a heavy equipment operator for the past 10 years. Chris enjoyed heavy metal music, cooking, movies, astronomy, and was a Phillies and Flyers fan. As a devoted and loving husband and father, Chris always placed his family first. He cherished spending time with his children, and looked forward to vacations at the family beach house where they shared many special memories. Chris may be best remembered for his genuine desire to make people laugh. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Sarah, and his parents, he is survived by his three precious children, Kiera, Kaylee, and Connor; a brother, Stephen D. Rickard, of Moore Township; father-in-law, Thomas H. Kier, of Moore Township; brothers-in-law, Timothy J. Kier and his wife, Bethanne, of Reading, and Vincent M. Kier and his wife, Stacy, of Klecknersville; a niece, Katlin; nephews, Nathan and Garbriel; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Services: will be held on Saturday, February 03, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Saturday morning from 11:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
