KENNEDY, Claire Elizabeth March 8, 1979 November 14, 2016 Claire Elizabeth Kennedy, 37, passed away November 14, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. A private burial was held at Oakwood Cemetery and followed by a celebration of her life at Columbus Avenue Baptist Church located at 1300 Columbus Ave, Waco, TX 76701 at 2:30 p.m., Friday, November 18. Following the memorial celebration, there was a reception at Ridgewood Country Club. Visitation was held 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home, located at 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710. Claire was born on March 8, 1979 in Waco, Texas. She was a proud graduate of Midway High School and later The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. Claire had the biggest smile, the best hugs, and an even bigger heart. She was a friendly and kind person who never met a stranger and loved her family and friends most of all. She would often say the she loved her family "to the moon and back." She enjoyed spending time with family and friends in her "happy place," the beach in Sarasota, Florida. Claire loved all animals and took special pride in building her pet-sitting service, where she cared for dogs and cats. She is survived by her parents, Millie and Ray Read and Caren and Keith Kennedy; her brothers, Brett Kennedy and wife, Jennifer, and Matt Kennedy and wife, Lynelle; her sisters, Laura Read and Gracie Kennedy; her beloved nieces and nephews, Ryan Read, and Reid, Lily, Brown and Sallie Frances Kennedy; and loving boyfriend, Shane Freeman.
