CLARA BROCK Obituary
DR. CLARA L.
Of Philadelphia, born October 27, 1937, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017. Dr. Brock was a professor of Swahili and African-American Studies. Formerly of Pittsburgh, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Arcola Brock; and her sisters, Geraldine Harvey and Marie Farrow. She is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Olasewere and Janet (Lee) Willis; also survived by many relatives and friends. Services were private.

On behalf of Clara's West View High School class of 1955 I wish to extend our sincere sympathy to her family members. We remember her as a sweet person who always had a smile.
Sorry that we had lost touch with her over the years. However it is so nice to learn of her accomplishments and trust that Clara was happy with her life work.
Our class is having an 80 th Birthday celebration ration on the Gateway Clipper this coming June 30 th, so I will share this sad news with the , but also what she became

I see Clara passed in February. Thank you so much for posting this obituary. I met Clara at Pitt. We took a fun trip once to the Carribean. We did not stay in touch. However, I learned that she continued to teach and to earn her doctorate. Bravo, Clara!
I have often wondered where she was residing...now I know for certain. She is living among the angels! May she rest in peace.
