Claudia Cook Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Oct. 24 to Oct. 25, 2017.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Claudia G. Cook, returned to her Father in Heaven on Saturday, October 21, 2017, surrounded by family.
Claudia was born February 1, 1957 in Blackfoot, ID to Darrell and Vera Fullmer. She grew up in Rose and graduated from Firth High School in 1975. In 1977 she married her High School sweetheart Jerry Cook. They lived in Soda Springs and Grace, Idaho.
Claudia was the prime example of love and service. She was very active in her community, where she organized three Relays for Life, organized the Give Devon a Ride fundraiser, mentored others with fundraisers, was an aide at the school, was a 4-H leader, and spent countless hours serving individuals in the community.
She was an active member in the LDS church where she served in all of the auxiliary organizations. Her favorite callings were in the primary and in the Stake Relief Society presidency, which allowed her to meet and serve so many that she loved.
Claudia was well known for her baking skills, but her primary focus and love was always for her family and church. She also loved to read, walk, work in potatoes, and pulling occasional pranks.
Claudia is survived by her loving husband, Jerry; five children, Bobby (Melanie) Cook, Tyson (Mindy) Cook, Krista (Tate) Vance, Cindy (Jed) Golson, and Lexie Cook; brother Steve (Diane) Fullmer; sisters Phyllis (Dave) Clement and Joyce Wilson; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Vera Fullmer, father and mother in-law Glenn and Emma Cook, brother in-laws Dave Clement, Glenn Cook, and Dennis Atwood, and Bob Wetherbee.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Church and also Thursday from 11:30-12:30 prior to service. Burial will be in the Turner Cemetery.
The family asks that any donations be made to cancer research.
Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.simsfh.com.
