Manning and the late Robert P. Manning. Courtney was raised in Melrose where she brought joy and laughter to her close knit neighborhood from an early age. A proud 1995 graduate of Melrose High School, Courtney left a lasting impression of kindness and happiness on all of her friends and teachers. Always the life of the party, Courtney had a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Her smile could light up any room, and all who knew her will remember her love of music and the sheer joy in her voice as she would sing along and dance with exuberance. For the last twenty years Courtney resided in Stoneham with very special roommates and was a valued member of the Shore Collaborative program in Woburn, She received superlative care and was loved unconditionally by Cammie-Marie Robicheau, who accompanied Courtney to countless concerts and musicals from Lady Gaga and Grease to her favorite New Kids on the Block. In addition to her devoted mother Susan, Courtney is survived by her loving sister Kara Clegg of Fairfield, CT & her husband Max, her adoring niece and nephew Julia & William Clegg as well as her lifelong friend and "sister" Andrea Perella of Melrose. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear family friends and neighbors who will always remember her dazzling smile, unbridled spirit, sparkling eyes and enduring purity of heart. She truly touched everyone she met. Visitation and burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Watertown will be private. I knew Courtney throughout her Shore Collaborative career and will always remember her lighting up any room she was in. She was a character -- funny, bright, so sensitive and tuned in to others, always smiling and laughing, and inevitably getting everyone around her laughing too. She is and will be dearly missed by all of us at Shore. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Courtney was always so much a part of Mrs. Manning's world and my heart is filled with sadness that she is gone. Courtney found a way into classrooms through Mrs. Manning. Stories of her were brought to life with occasional visits...a highlight for students. A big smile, heartfelt laugh and an easy and an ever present look of kindness are what I will fondly remember. Rest comfortably, Courtney, and know you left a subtle but strong message in the hearts of many. Sending love, prayers and healing memories that bring strength to you, Mrs. Manning.
From my heart...Ilene Pearson
