Riverview, Florida - Craig Carpenter, born on August 21, 1956 passed away on April 6, 2023. He was a current resident of Riverview, FL residing with his beloved Son, Evan.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Shirley Linn Carpenter and Marvin Lee Carpenter. He is survived by brother Timothy L. Carpenter (Krista), sister Nancy Ruth Reed (Glen), sister Lori Ann Carpenter, one son Evan Craig Carpenter and Evan's Mother Diane.
Craig was an accomplished trumpet player enjoying a life-long love of music. He played trumpet in many settings including Gulf Coast Casino shows, the Wringling Brothers Circus, and many local groups, all while representing other local musicians at the Local 777 Union as the first President. Craig spent many years mentoring young musician students. He also served as an Ordained Deacon and member of the Choir and Handbell Choir at First Baptist Church Long Beach.
Craig was also accomplished in his professional life. He and his family built a very successful printing company in Long Beach, MS, Prestige Printing, where he was committed to job-training/employment for many people.
One of his many community service efforts included serving several years as a member of the Long Beach District School Board.
His love for life and family was large and he will be missed.

I lived in Gulfport in.the early '90's, and that's when.i first met Chrig. He was a gentleman, loving father and a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. RIP MY BROTHER.

Craig and I were in the same graduating class together at Long Beach. I always knew Craig to be kind and thoughtful. I am so sorry for your family´s loss.
