Craig A. Dylewski, CFA Craig A. Dylewski, CFA, 30, a resident of Harborcreek Township and formerly of McKean, died on Friday afternoon, May 15, 2009 at the UPMC-Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh. Craig was a 1997 graduate of General McLane High School and a 2001 graduate of Penn State Behrend with a Bachelor Degree in Finance. He had been a Securities Analyst in the Investment Department at the Erie Insurance for the past seven years, and was certified as a Charter Financial Analyst (CFA). He attended the Lawrence Park United Methodist Church, enjoyed golf, bowling, and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and son, Hayden. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of four years, Heidi Vogt Dylewski; a son, Hayden Dylewski, at home; a brother, Keith Dylewski, and his wife, Faith, of North Canton, Ohio; a sister, Erin Wiedenheft, and her husband, Bill, of Edinboro; his mother and father-in-law, Jim and Sally Holmes Vogt, of Lawrence Park; several nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts and uncles also survive. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave., Monday 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and are invited to services on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Lawrence Park United Methodist Church, 4015 Niagara Place, officiated by the pastor, Rev. Dear Mrs. Dylewski, Hayden, and Family:

Over these many months my brother Paul has shared your updates of Craig. We kept you, Hayden, and Craig in our daily prayers. We remained very hopeful at every positive turn. My brother so admired Craig, and we can fully understand why he speaks so highly of him. My husband and I wish we had been honored to meet Craig but through your updates we feel we do know him a little and WOW what a treasure of a man. Yours is a true love story. Craig's love of you and Hayden never dies; hold him tight in your heart. It is said that one reason God gave us memories was so we could have roses in Winter, may you soon replace all your sad memories with memories of all the joyfull ones that you two made together. Celebrate the gift of Hayden a product of your love and Craig's. May God always hold you, Hayden, and your loved ones in the palm of His hand.~Marianne Bates Barg~ My husband Jeff also joins me in sending our love, hugs, and prayers to you and your loved ones. To Heidi, Hayden, & the Dylewski Family:
Craig and my son, Chris became best friends in pre-school. I am fortunate to have watched him grow from this funny, little, smiling kid into a wonderfully, amazing man. He will forever hold a special place in my heart!!
May God give you strength and help ease your pain and comfort you at this time and ALWAYS.
My Deepest Sympathy.

At age 15, Craig was a member of my freshman religion class at St.Francis Xavier Church in McKean. At the beginning of the school year
(1990-1991), I asked the students to fill out
An address card and to share what they consider to be both their positive and negative personality traits or qualities. These are Craig's two responses:
1)"People usually think I'm athletic. They also think I'm friendly, caring, and unselfish." 2)"I usually don't like to tell people that they are stuck on themselves.” Craig was a delightful teenager and a welcome addition to our class. I felt it important to share this with your family. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. With Our Deepest Sympathy, Carole and Jack Preston

God has taken his tired child home and at the exact same instant gave you your own personal guardian angel to protect you. Words are not enough to convey how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Many of my earliest childhood memories include Craig because of the very special friendship he shared with my older brother. Heidi,

We just can't believe the news. We were so honored that you let us take your wedding pictures four years ago. We remember the carriage that was on the porch of the Riverside and it said "do not touch", Shani and I thought that it would be a good picture to have you stand in front of it, Craig said "no lets get in it", no matter what the sign said, and it was one of your best pictures of the day. He was so funny, and seemed to live for the moment. We will be praying for you, Hayden, and the rest of your family.
