Cristelle White Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 28, 2025.
Official Cat Whisperer, Flute Menace, and Mother Extraordinaire

June 19, 1986 - July 23, 2025

Cristelle Pearce White unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, July 23rd, leaving behind a lot of broken hearts and a legacy of love that will never fade.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melissa Hughes and Lex Pearce, Cristelle was a bright light from the beginning. A proud graduate of Murray High School, she was known for her musical talents-particularly playing the flute, which she lovingly used to torment her favorite sister, Trin.

She studied at Dixie College and later trained to be a healer of sore backs and stressed-out souls at the Utah College of Massage Therapy. If you were lucky enough to receive one of her massages, you probably cried tears of joy-or passed out from relaxation.

Cristelle's heart was the size of a small planet. If someone needed help, she was already halfway there with snacks, emotional support, and a shoulder to cry on. Her love for animals (especially cats, who knew they were safe in her orbit) was only surpassed by her love for her family.

Above all, Cristelle was born to be a mom. The day she found out she was pregnant with her sweet son Willbie, the clouds parted, the angels sang, and Cristelle beamed for nine months straight. William "Willbie" White became her sun, moon, and reason for living. Every day of motherhood brought her joy, chaos, and at least one unidentifiable stain on her shirt-and she loved every second of it.

Cristelle is survived by her adoring husband Matthew F. White; her cherished son William (who inherited all the best parts of her); her parents Melissa and Mark Hughes, Lex Pearce and Tina Marler; her in-laws Kerry and Byron White; siblings Trindilyn, Jay, Tayler, Ashlee, Chelsea, Stephen; and more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends than could fit comfortably in any group chat.

She is also survived by her beloved cats, Phoenix and Beau, who will now be running the household unsupervised.

Cristelle's departure leaves behind a Cristelle-shaped hole in the world-one filled with kindness, sass, laughter, compassion, and the smell of melaleuca oil. She will be fiercely missed, lovingly remembered, and forever celebrated.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you rescue a cat, hug your people, and maybe learn the flute (if only to irritate your siblings in her honor).

I'm heartbroken to hear about the sudden passing of Cristelle. She was truly a beautiful soul-inside and out. Her warmth, kindness and light touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her, her family, loved ones and everyone who is grieving this unimaginable loss.

I met Cristelle when she was just a teenager. For a few months we worked together at her step-father's business. But mostly I remember her from her Aunt Wendy's house. She was as beautiful inside as she was outside and I know everyone in her family will miss her dearly. Hugs to her family at this sad time. Especially her little boy who I know, from past Facebook posts, she loved more than anyone else. It's good to know that we will all see Cristelle again one day.

I am heartbroken. Grandma Horton Wouk call you a high quality person. I do too. I cried for two days. I am still sad. I love you Chris.

Best time was this past Christmas family party at Mark's and Mitch's business. She sat at our table the whole lunch time and we had a great visit, longest ever!!
