Crystal McDaniel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 18 to Sep. 20, 2023.
Phoenix - Crystal Yvonne McDaniel entered this life on June 1, 1951, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. After a lengthy illness, Crystal, age 72, entered eternal life and peace on September 9, 2023, Hospice of the Valley in Tempe Arizona.

Crystal was raised in Ecorse, Michigan where she received her formal education and graduated from Ecorse High School in 1969. There she met and later married her husband of 50 years, Edward McDaniel. To that union, were born two children, Monyai Elonne McDaniel (deceased) and Edward Mailik McDaniel.

Crystal retired from working in the healthcare field for over 25 years, as a claims adjuster.

Crystal McDaniel loved our Lord; she left a lasting impact through her ministry. She dedicated much of her life to serving others with love and compassion. Her passion for women's prison ministry inspired many to find faith. She spread the message of salvation during her missionary trip to Africa. We celebrate her inspiring legacy.

She leaves to cherish her memory : husband, Edward McDaniel; son, Edward Mailik McDaniel; mother, Esther Yvonne Fowler; sister, Lillian Florence Riley (Clifford); three brothers, Monroe Philip Copeland (Angela), Clifton Eric Green (Kathy), Gerald Lindsey Green (Linda), five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of friends and family.

Crystal was preceded in death by her father, Joseph LaMar; stepfather, Clifton Green; special father, Tony Monroe, and daughter, Monyai Elonne McDaniel. Visitation will be 11 am - 1 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Angels Cremation and Burial, 422 W McLellan Rd, Mesa AZ 85201. Final resting of ashes in Wayne County, Michigan

My fondest memory of my sister-in-love Crystal is the time we spent together when she came to visit her brother (my husband Cliff) and I in California.

We had deep conversations about life, relationships, and our love for God. She was on fire for the Lord, determined to live for Him, and make an impact in other people´s lives for the glory of God.

I will miss hearing Crystal´s voice on June 1st, her birthday and our wedding anniversary, but I know we will see her again. Rest in God´s peace and presence, beautiful sister. We love you!

My dear Crystal, I am going to miss her so much. She was like a mom, sister and best friend all rolled into one person. We met in Minneapolis and served on praise and worship together. She was someone I could call during the middle of the night when I was going through difficult times. Her and I would spend hours on the phone talking about everything under the sun. We traveled together, laughed and cried together.

Crystal had such a great heart, she's irreplaceable .

She will always live in my heart .

I pray peace and love for the family. Life will never be the same.

Sheila
I am going to miss my dear friend. A good friend I could confide in, one who spoke her truth and didn't mince words. We loved to shop, attend many women conferences over the years. But the best time of all was just spending time talking. Love you Crystal!

Rest in peace Crystal!

I'm really going to miss my dear sister-in-love Crystal. I spent a lot of time with her the last few months as she pushed through her health journey. I always knew she was a strong individual. I felt honored to share space in her life. We laughed, we cried and we prayed. Love you always Sister Chris!
