I was a youngster when Curt was a legend in NYC. He played for Marty's Crew at W. 4th st. and Tillary Park. He ALWAYS took time to talk with me and help my game. Also offered to help me when I went away to Clark College. Blessings of Peace and Strength to you and your family.

We were all deeply saddened and so sorry to hear of Curtis' passing. He was playmates with my little sister and brother. His grandmother, Maggie Phillips and our grandmother, Sarah Doctor lived across the street from each other in the "Corner". Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. We pray God's strength for you in the coming days.

I was a childhood friend of Curt's back in Brooklyn. He was a cool, smooth fella. He was one bad dude on the bball court. reminded me a lot of Clyde Frazier. God Bless to him and his family. Hagler(Brooklyn, NY)

Sorry to hear of Curtis passing. He was a great basketball player and legend in Brooklyn. I remember playing against him on several occasions in West 4th Street, in Brooklyn, and in Harlem when he played for Coney Island Hospital. God Bless!
