Cynthia Gray-Howey, 69, of Orion Township died on January 25, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband John Howey.

Cindy worked for many years as a counselor helping patients who were battling drug and alcohol addiction. She was an avid supporter of many progressive causes, especially women's rights and voter's rights.

She is survived by her son Jason Gray; her stepsons Bob Howey, Steve Howey and Mick Howey; her stepdaughter Suzy Howard; her siblings Jeff Gordon, Pam Coutilish Scott, Stacy Faremouth, Peter Coutilish, Ted Coutilish; her aunt Nancy Mearns; and her cousin Gary Mearns.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: George Coutilish, Sydney Coutilish, Alexis Coutilish, Alexandria Coutilish, Ben Coutilish, Paul Coutilish, Andrew Coutilish, Susan Faremouth, Lauren Faremouth, Jennifer Reid and Cara Kersting.

She is also survived by her grandnephew Avett Reid; her grandniece Claire Reid; and the grandchildren in the extended family: Tanya Linsenman, Nicole Forde. Josh Howey and Paige Gayford.

She is also survived by the great grandchildren in the extended family: Jayden Howey, Mattox Linsenman, Levi Linsenman, Raye Lynne Forde and Alexander Forde.
