Daisy Adams Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 3, 2025.
Daisy C. Adams, aged 79, passed away on May 30, 2025, in Memphis, TN. Born on April 30, 1946, Daisy dedicated her life to 52-years of marriage and more than two decades of federal civil service at Memphis Defense Distribution Depot, retiring as GS11 in 1997. A devout Christian, Daisy received Christ and was baptized as a young girl. She attended Progressive Baptist Church in Memphis and in 1986, she became a member of Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church.

Daisy practiced her faith daily as a loving caregiver. She was known for her ability to listen without judgement. Her honest and direct nature was cherished by all who knew her. Daisy's educational journey began at Porter Elementary and continued through Booker T. Washington High School, later attending Job Corps, before joining the civil service.

She leaves behind a loving family: her husband, Benny; son, Michael; daughter, Tracy; and sister, Addie. Daisy was a proud grandmother to Shameka (m. Ezekial), Michael (m. Cathy), Taelor, Antwan, Raia, and Eriq, and great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. She was a central figure in a large circle that includes numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Daisy was preceded in death by her mother, Viola Crawford, and her sisters, Rosevelt Jackson and Claranetta Batts.

Daisy's life was marked by her unwavering commitment to Christ and her family. Her legacy of love, care, and authenticity will continue to influence and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
