Dale Martin Bretz

Dale Martin Bretz, born on May 8, 1955, in Pontiac, Michigan, passed away on February 25, 2024, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 68. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. Dale's vibrant personality and zest for life touched all those around him. He was a hardworking and faithful provider, nurturing and guiding his family with love and care.

Dale enjoyed various activities such as fishing, gardening, vacationing, and spending quality time with his family. His energetic, confident, and charismatic nature made him a cherished figure in the lives of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents Gerald and Patricia Bretz, his wife of 48 years Sandra Bretz, daughters Christina (John) Lupro, Kelly Bretz (Alex), 7 grandchildren, Kelsea (Jared) Mayson, John II, Walker, Avery, Parker, Brynlee, siblings Keith (Melanie) Bretz, Debbie (Dave) Dirmeyer, Terri (Mike) Budd, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Meta Bretz, Robert and Lorene (Peggy) Stamats.

A Celebration of Life Luncheon in honor of Dale will be held at Bakers of Milford, 2025 South Milford Rd, Milford, Michigan, 48381, on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1 pm to 4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the U of M ICU Trauma Burn Center.

Dale Bretz's legacy of love and joy will forever be cherished by those whose lives he touched.
