Dale Carson

BRISTOL, Va. – Dale Carson, formerly of Jonesville, Va., was born in Baltimore, Md., on Friday, July 20, 1962. He passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at the Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Roanoke, Va., at the age of 45.
Dale had worked for Lance Inc. for 26 years, started in sales and was promoted to branch manager. He was of the Baptist belief. Dale was a resident of the Bristol and Abingdon areas for 21 years.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Junior Carson; maternal grandparents, Olin and Lona Mullins Pennington; and paternal grandparents, Casper and Muriel Hicks.
Dale is survived by his wife, Nancy Carson of the home; mother, Wilma Carson of Jonesville, Va.; children, Zachery Bentley and wife Michelle of Kokomo, Ind., Melissa Taylor and husband Greg of Kokomo, Ind., and Danielle McKinney and husband Chad of Kokomo, Ind.; brother, Roy Carson and wife Faye of Dryden, Va.; sister, Robin Cottrell and husband Garry of Rose Hill, Va.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A celebration of Dales life will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary, Pennington.Visitation will be from 5 p.m until the time of service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, at Pennington Memorial Cemetery, in the Stone Creek community of Pennington Gap. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go to the cemetery.
Zack Bentley, Johnny Stokes, John Lawson, Larry Miller, Kevin Roberts, Tony (Two Ply) Ray and Chad McKinney will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy
Adkins, Curt Willis and Morris White.
